Success!

Remember AP? She wanted to go from a size 16 to a size 10, in the link she is a few months in and this Summer she reached her target.  She looks amazing and there is not a stretch mark in sight as she has been slow and consistent in her weight loss, focusing on maintaining her exercise routine rather than cutting back too dramatically on calories.  Her diet has changed from small sweet treat based meals to larger protein packed offerings.  So she has not felt deprived or hungry despite the quite dramatic transformation...

  2. Wow....well done to AP with her weight loss and healthy eating. Whilst were on the subject, have you found the photos of you before your weight loss yet???? I would so like to see them for inspiration as you have the most amazing figure. Thanks.

    2. Ha, I ripped all of mine up, I sort of wish I had kept one as lots of folk don't believe I was once 45lbs heavier but I used to cry whenever I saw a picture of myself, then I'd tear them up whilst soaked in self loathing.

Funny you say that, I have one that I can remember of me on a boat (like a beached whale) in the South of France, it is crumpled and ripped, but my mum made me keep it as she said one day I would be able to look at it without feeling anything but having accomplished beating the blubber. I don't have many though, I avoided the camera (and mirrors) like the plague.

    1. If you really want to, let me know when you are in London and we can meet, and I'll give you a plan. If you are determined 9 months is the perfect time to achieve a transformation. It will all be free, but you will need to find a personal trainer near you to deliver the program, I would love to put you on the blog as a case study too!

    3. A birthday lunch is perhaps not the best time to meet up to talk about an exercise regime! I would definitely have champagne and cake higher up my agenda! If you can make it come to the Young at Heart show and we can have a chat there! The blog is only good to keep you on the straight and narrow, but equally you can do it on your own too. It is just something that gives you a deadline, eg I will post a progress pic every 6 weeks.

  7. Im actually really inspired by this lady. My daughter is also getting married next July to her lovely young man and Im not one to wear "Mother of the Bride" type outfits. I plan on wearing something laid back but gorgeous and am now going to up my game and get my body looking amazing. Thanks for all the inspiration you give!!!

    1. You definitely should, if nothing else, those pics last forever, and as you said in your other comments, it is like the beginning of a new chapter. It is worth getting a trainer to learn perfect technique as you will both get into shape and see those quite dramatic changes much more quickly. You probably only need about 3 one to ones to master it fully. Try to find someone whose focus is the body and the individual, not someone who is only interested in the activity and has a 'one size fits all approach'. A background in physiotherapy or yoga seems to breed a more intelligent approach. I still use a trainer now, especially when I have reached a plateau and am trying to get to the next level.
